Plana’s Pantry: For Happy Thoughts and a Happy Tummy!

Going home from our pilgrimage to the Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, my brothers, cousin and I passed by Plana’s Pantry and since then, it has become one of my favorite restaurants. It is located at 1650 Quezon Avenue, corner Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, South Triangle, Quezon City beside Hi-Top Supermarket and the overpass. Β It’s just a few minutes walk from Quezon Avenue MRT, ABS-CBN, PBB house.

The interiors of the resto can be seen from outside through its glass walls, which attracted us the first time we saw it. The walls were painted white with frames containing inspiring (and some funny) messages. The ambience gave a homey feel, good vibes and happy thoughts!

Everything was picture-worthy, you can kill time taking pictures while waiting for your food. You don’t have to wait long for your orders either. Oh, about the food, they serve Filipino-Western dishes at reasonable prices and big serving sizes (especially for the mains).

Here’s what we ordered during our first visit, which was in the afternoon after our pilgrimage:

Hand-crafted ice cream (clockwise): Cookie Caramel/Mocha Chips (oops, sorry I forgot), Avocado Mambo, Chocolate Rumble, Strawberry Lane.

There are 5 flavors of ice cream in the menu, prices are VAT inclusive, and there is no service charge on top of the prices stated. I couldn’t remember the prices anymore but I looked up Zomato and it says the ice cream single scoop costs P65 and double scoop is at P120. We also ordered 3 pcs. garlic and cheese bread (P120) and fizzy french fries (P75), no photos of these on our first visit but we ordered them again on our recent visit, see below photos.

During our second visit, we tried their meals and ordered: Lamb Masala, Gindara steak, BBQ Pork Belly, Tomato Basil and Shrimp Pasta, Fizzy French Fries and 3pcs. garlic and cheese bread.

We usually go there on Sundays and notice that there are only few people who dine there. It must be due to the location. We like it because the place is quiet, has a nice ambience, accessible, and of course, has affordable and tasty dishes. There is also free wifi. They also accept bulk orders and offer party packages. You can also find them in Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City (haven’t been there).

This is not a paid advertisement, I just want to share it so you can have an amazing experience as well. Feel free to share your experience at Plana’s Pantry or if you could recommend other establishments for me to try. Cheers to more discoveries!
